Leah Tapo
While growing up in the salon environment through her mothers salon, Leah graduated from American College of Hair Design. She has been working at Charmaine’s for 13 years. She loves that through her job she is able to express herself artistically everyday. Making her clients more confident and helping them destress through self care are also some of her favorite things about her working at Charmaine’s.
Aubrey Newcomer
Aubrey has been at Charmaine’s creating gorgeous hair since 2012. She loves doing yoga and taking long walks exploring God’s nature! She enjoys starting her days with worship music and coffee. On her time away from the salon you can find her spending time with her sweet husband, at church and cheering on the Braves. Currently Aubrey is inspired by nature and loves when she can disconnect, see and listen to what strikes her attention. Right now the hair industry has so many amazing influences and styles, Aubrey finds herself particularly drawn towards the dimension and texture that she continues to see in the hair world.
Leslie Akinyode
Leslie has been working at Charmaine’s since 2014 and graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College with a degree in cosmetology. She has always been inspired by art and color and as a stylist at Charmaine’s she is able to tap into that joy every day. She has a very bubbly and social personality and loves getting to know each of her clients. Seeing her clients faces light up when they see their new hair is one of her favorite parts of working at our salon. Serving the people in the Douglasville community is also one of her most favorite parts of working at our salon because she gets to invest in the city she calls home. She appreciates the amount of continuing education Charmaine’s pours into all its artists. This allows her to be the very best she can be for her guests.
Courtney Steele
Graduating from West Georgia Technical College, Courtney has worked at Charmaine’s for three years. She has a love for art and it can definitely be seen in her work. She loves meeting new people, creating relationships through art, and growing as trends change as well as the ever changing methods to do hair. Working with her hands and knowing she is doing something good for each person in her chair is a rewarding feeling that she helped create that person’s dream identity of themselves.
Presley Hendricks
Presley has always enjoyed doing hair even when she was very little. She graduated from West Georgia Technical College with her cosmetology degree and has been working at Charmaine’s for 3 years. Her clients are her most favorite part of working at Charmaine’s. She is always super sweet and loves to serve her clients and help them achieve their hair goals. Meeting and connecting with her clients is one her favorite things about her career and working at Charmaine’s.

Ashlyn Baker
Ashlyn has always wanted to help and serve others around me, and found a passion doing so through hairstyling. She graduated college from Aveda Arts, and loves to create and turn her passion into purpose. The creative freedom and happiness from guests is what Ashlyn says is the biggest reward of the salon industry.

Rebekah Daniell
Rebekah is currently enrolled in West Georgia Technical College for Cosmetology. She has always had a creative, artistic mind and loves to incorporate her creativity into her work. She has been with Charmaine’s for over a year, working at the front desk as a client liaison and as an assistant to the stylists. She loves serving the clients and working alongside her coworkers at Charmaine’s
Fernie Melara
Fernie graduated from West Georgia Technical Collage. While doing makeup on herself and working in her mother’s salon she discovered her passion for a career in the salon and beauty industry. She loves to make everyone’s beauty from within radiate and to empower her clients through her work and positive affirmations. Fernie’s favorite part about working at Charmaine’s is that the salon and team are always warm and inviting. Everyone can feel the best version of themselves when they spend their time in that kind of loving environment.
Hanna Marcus
Hanna loves traveling and exploring new places especially discovering different beaches. In her free time, you can find her crafting and hanging out with her sweet puppy. She loves setting goals, making a plan and achieving them for herself. Those same skills that allows Hannah to accomplish anything she sets her mind to, she brings to Charmaine’s as our Lead Client Liaison. Nothing makes Hanna happier than being able to help all the salon clients with any of their needs during their time at Charmaine’s.
Maddie Buchanan
Maddie has wanted to do hair ever since she can remember, she would often watch videos as a little girl teaching her how to braid or accomplish unique styles. She graduated college from Aveda Institute of Atlanta. Maddie chose Charmaine’s when she saw the opportunity to reach her full potential as a stylist within our culture. By continuous growth, ongoing education and staying up to date on the most current trends, Maddie loves knowing that this industry allows for no limitations on your creative and professional endeavors. Her love her people and the desire to help drew her to the salon world and getting to help add a smile and restore a client’s confidence is best part of her day.
Rebecca Enriquez
Rebecca loves to travel to new places, exploring nature and reading actual books (raise your hand if you can’t do a digital version either). Her love for art lead her to creative environment of Charmaine’s, you can find her creating art in her free time. Rebecca is incredibly attuned to others needs and emotions which is what allows her to effortlessly manage communication with clients and stylists. She loves to create an exceptional experience while clients spend their time in Charmaine’s.
